People who care about India's Christians often ask what they can do from here. There is more than it seems: pray knowing what is happening, stay informed and inform others well, get to know the country and support the training of pastors.
1. Pray, knowing what is happening
According to Open Doors, India ranks 12th on the 2026 World Watch List.
Praying well starts with knowing the facts. The Prayer Center gathers the prayer requests, and the monthly newsletter sends them by email. Every news article on this site cites its source and ends with a prayer focus.
2. Stay informed and share with care
Whatever is published online can be read by anyone. So prefer to share news from a published source, like the ones on this site, rather than forwarding messages of unknown origin. And avoid adding names, addresses or photos of Indian Christians that the source itself did not publish. This site follows that rule: it never publishes names, identifiable photos or specific places of workers, only broad regions.
3. Get to know the country and the language
Knowing the country makes prayer more precise. Start with the language guides, with how many Christians there are in India and where they live and with why India distrusts foreign missionaries. To understand the news, see the anti-conversion laws and the persecution figures.
4. Support the training of pastors
The Pray for India project translates a theology course for Indian pastors, into Bengali and Odia and, in the future, Hindi. The lessons are on video, to watch on a phone, and the translated content is made available free on the project's own YouTube channels. Anyone who wants to cooperate can give through the project's Pix code, with whatever amount they can, and the accountability report is updated every quarter.
5. Talk to your church
Sharing the project and the prayer requests with your church multiplies the reach of everything above. It is the simplest way to help, and it needs no authorization.
