Privacy Policy

How we handle your data.

Last updated: July 2026. This document explains, in accordance with Brazil's LGPD (Law No. 13,709/2018), how Pray for India collects, uses, and protects personal data.

1. Who we are

Pray for India is an editorial and fundraising project based in Brazil, responsible for the processing of personal data collected on this site.

2. What data we collect

  • Contact form: name and email voluntarily provided.
  • Newsletter: email address, with subscription confirmation (double opt-in).
  • Donations: payment data processed directly by the gateway (Mercado Pago) — this site does not store card data.
  • Prayer wall: first name or nickname, with explicit consent before publication.
  • Browsing: aggregate site usage metrics, collected by Google Analytics through its own cookies — we do not use advertising tracking cookies or share this data with advertisers.

3. How we use the data

We use the data collected to respond to inquiries, send the monthly newsletter, process donations, and improve the site's content. We never sell or share personal data with third parties for marketing purposes.

4. Sharing with third parties

Some data is processed by strictly necessary service providers: payment gateway (Mercado Pago), email delivery service (Resend), and site hosting. Each handles data under its own privacy terms and solely to provide the contracted service.

5. Your rights (LGPD)

You may, at any time, request access to, correction, deletion, or portability of your data, as well as revoke consent (such as your newsletter subscription). Just write to contato@orepelaindia.com.

6. Security and retention

We adopt reasonable technical security measures and keep data only for as long as necessary for the purposes described in this policy, or as required by law.

7. Contact

Questions about this policy may be sent to contato@orepelaindia.com.
